Overview

The London Transport museum covers over 150 years worth of history in its collection. To compliment its new website, the museum wanted an interactive timeline to allow users to explore the themes presented in the museum.

Involvement

With the history of London's transport system so lengthy, I set out to maximise the internal space of the timeline to ensure all dates and events could be covered. This also allowed room for adding other historical events on a smaller scale above to provide further sense of context. The navigation system is primarly a large draggable button. I chose this to reflect the 'hands on' style of the museum and also to further add to an effect of physical movement when interacted with. More subtle hot spots are located to the left and right which also enable movement across the timeline.
